The extremely durable, UV-protected, high-density polyethylene construction and the rounded shape maximize the strength of the filter, enabling installation in freeze-thaw conditions. The Signature Series 200 Pond Skimmer can handle pump flow rates up to 3,000 gallons per hour and is equipped with a 6"� wide weir for ideal water flow. An included lid helps to protect the internal components of the filter. Corrosion-resistant, non-cross-threading hardware stands up to the elements. An optional filter brush cartridge (#99772) can be added to provide additional filtration and an optional overflow kit is also available (#88036). The Signature Series 200 Pond Skimmer is backed by a limited lifetime warranty, ensuring year after year of trouble-free use.

Warranty Procedure: If you cut the cord, it will void the replacement warranty.
Modifying the cord on almost any electrical item will void the warranty because there's a lot that can go wrong with voltages.
In addition to that, there's no way to test the pump to determine what is wrong with it when the cord has been cut.
Running the pump dry will void the warranty.
