How to Use

When to Use

Pond Armor Surface Prep can be used as an alternative to harsher etching acid solutions such as muriatic, phosphoric, citric, and other acids. Use it as a cleaner to prep many surfaces before applying epoxy.

Types of Surfaces

Pond Armor Surface Prep clings to both horizontal and vertical surfaces to clean and remove calcium deposits, iron, lime, magnesium, and other insoluble materials. This product works on concrete, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and painted surfaces.

Directions for Use

Pond Armor Surface Prep can be used on many types of surfaces, but before use on a water feature, remove and hose fish, plants, or other aquatic life in a holding tank away from the work area. Spray or pour Surface Prep to the surface. Allow the foaming action to penetrate the surface 2-5 minutes. Once complete, rinse the entire surface thoroughly and wet/dry vacuum or drain to remove any rinse water.

For most applications, this process only needs to be done once but can be repeated as many times as deemed necessary to completely clean the surface.

Precautions

DO NOT mix with bleach or any other chemicals.

This product should not be used while fish or other animals are present in the water feature.
