Firestone QuickPrime Plus (Elevate Single-Ply Primer) is the essential solvent-based primer designed to clean, prepare, and reactivate EPDM rubber liner surfaces prior to seaming, patching, or installing pressure-sensitive tape and accessories.
Standard washing with soap or water leaves behind factory release agents, oxidation, and microscopic debris that cause seam tape to fail over time. QuickPrime Plus chemically activates the EPDM membrane compound, ensuring a permanent, watertight molecular bond for seam tapes, cover strips, custom liner extensions, and pipe boots.

Step-by-Step Application Guide
Surface Prep: Ensure the EPDM liner area is completely dry and free of heavy mud, algae, or loose dirt. Wipe away heavy dust prior to priming.
Mix Thoroughly: Stir the primer thoroughly before and during use. Settled solids must be fully blended into a uniform dark color.
Scrub Application: Dip a QuickScrubber pad into the primer. Apply using firm, long back-and-forth strokes across the seam area until a uniform dark coat is achieved without puddling.
Touch Test: Allow 5–10 minutes for solvents to evaporate (flash off). Touch the primed area with a clean finger: it should feel sticky and tacky, but no liquid should transfer to your finger.
Adhere & Roll: Immediately apply your QuickSeam tape, cover strip, or repair patch over the tacky primer. Roll thoroughly with a silicone or steel seam roller to lock in the bond.
