Aquascape EPDM Liner One-Sided Cover Tape - 6" x 25' (Item # 22003)
Aquascape EPDM Liner One-Sided Cover Tape (6" x 25') is a professional-grade, semi-cured EPDM rubber tape with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing on one side. It is designed specifically for capping seam joints, executing surface repairs, and creating watertight seals over EPDM pond liners, waterfall boxes, and stream transitions.
Unlike double-sided seam tape, which sits between two overlapping liner sheets, 6" one-sided cover tape is applied directly over the top of an exposed liner edge. It acts as an armor cap over double-sided taped seams in high-stress areas or provides a clean, permanent patch over liner punctures and tears. For a permanent, watertight bond, the EPDM rubber surface must be cleaned and primed with an EPDM Tape Primer prior to application.

Step-by-Step Application Guide
Clean & Prep Surface: Ensure the target liner area or seam edge is completely dry and cleared of mud, algae, or loose debris.
Apply EPDM Primer: Scrub the liner area around the seam or repair patch using an EPDM Tape Primer (such as Firestone QuickPrime Plus) and a QuickScrubber pad. Extend the primer at least 1 inch wider than the 6" cover tape path.
Check Tackiness: Allow 5–10 minutes for the primer solvents to flash off. Perform a touch test with a clean finger—it should feel tacky without liquid transfer.
Position & Apply Cover Tape: Centering the 6" tape over the seam edge or puncture, unroll the cover tape while peeling away the protective release backing. Press down firmly as you unroll to prevent wrinkles.
Roll for a Permanent Seal: Roll the entire length of the applied cover tape firmly using a heavy-duty silicone or steel seam roller to remove trapped air bubbles and lock in the watertight bond.
