Aquascape EPDM Double-Sided Liner Seam Tape - 3" x 25' (Item # 22017)

$69.99

Aquascape EPDM Double-Sided Liner Seam Tape is a professional-grade, double-sided butyl adhesive tape designed for joining, expanding, and repairing 45 mil EPDM fish-safe pond liners.

Whether you are connecting two smaller liner sheets to build a large feature, adding a stream bed extension, or executing a watertight liner patch, this double-sided tape creates a flexible, permanent, and completely fish-safe bond. For maximum adhesion and long-term durability, seam tape must be applied over EPDM rubber that has been thoroughly cleaned and primed using EPDM Tape Primer.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Permanent Watertight Bond: Joins two EPDM liner sections with a double-sided rubber adhesive seal that withstands continuous water pressure.

  • 100% Fish and Plant Safe: Formulated specifically for decorative water gardens, koi ponds, and natural swim ponds without leaching harmful chemicals.

  • Flexible & Durable: Expands and contracts naturally with seasonal soil movement, freeze-thaw cycles, and water weight fluctuations without cracking.

  • Versatile Application: Ideal for custom pond liner seams, stream-to-pond transitions, waterfall box liner attachment, and patch repairs.

Technical Specifications

  • Product Type: Double-Sided Rubber Polymer Seam Tape

  • Available Sizes: 3" x 25' Roll / 3" x 100' Roll

  • Compatibility: 45 Mil EPDM Fish-Safe Pond Liners & Underlayment

  • Color: Black

  • Recommended Primer: Aquascape / Firestone EPDM Tape Primer

  • Installation Tools: QuickScrubber Pad, Silicone / Steel Seam Roller

Step-by-Step Application Guide

  1. Overlap & Position Liners: Lay out both EPDM liner sheets, overlapping the top liner over the bottom liner by at least 4 to 6 inches. Mark the bottom liner along the edge of the top sheet for placement.

  2. Clean & Prime the Seam Area: Fold back the top liner. Scrub both rubber surfaces along the seam overlap using EPDM Tape Primer (such as Firestone QuickPrime Plus or Aquascape Primer) until clean and tacky.

  3. Apply Seam Tape: Unroll the double-sided seam tape along the primed area on the bottom liner, leaving the release paper attached. Press down firmly along the entire length.

  4. Roll the Tape: Use a seam roller over the release paper to eliminate air bubbles and lock the tape onto the bottom liner.

  5. Join & Seal: Peel back the top release paper while pressing the top EPDM liner sheet down smoothly over the exposed adhesive. Roll the finished seam firmly with your hand roller to complete the watertight seal.
