How It Works!

The ultraviolet light sanitizer emits a germicidal ray which alters or disrupts the DNA or RNA of single celled organisms.
Ultraviolet is a proven ultraviolet water purification system for controlling algae, bacteria, and protozoa.

    SMART UV units have a 4" diameter housing and 1.5" slip union. Each model features low pressure lamps, as well as remote-style ballasts with 16' power cords (10’ cable to ballast and 6’ cord). Units are 115V/230V 50/60Hz. UV vessels are built of a UV-resistant, high density polymer with a removable end cap to provide easy access. Internal viewing ports allow visual indication of lamp status. For the standard lamps we recommend changing at 9,000 hrs (1 year and 1 week).

Safe Advice :

To prevent possible serious injury, eyes and skin should not be exposed to direct or reflected ultraviolet light emitted by this lamp. This lamp is in Risk Group 3 per ANSI/IESNARP-27.3-96. Adequate protection should be provided by clothing, gloves, opaque materials, and ordinary window glass. Although this lamp will operate in standard fluorescent fixtures, it should not be used for general lighting applications.​
